• Lead Developer

Jim was created in a horrific lab experiment by the infamous Doctor Goz. In a bizarre attempt to formulate what the good doctor believed to be the origin of the Grem species, the hapless developer was assembled from parts harvested from various natural beasts of Mnemos which had been liberally seasoned and left to marinate for ten months in the Tempest. The newly created monstrosity was subjected to various strength applications of Spark energy and outfitted with a thought to word apparatus, which Goz used to extract many of the rules and natural laws that are known in Mnemos today. Capable of dangerous levels of sarcasm, but obsessed with the ideas of fair play and risk versus reward, Jim has been freed from the lab to roam free, dispensing nuggets of wisdom while working to create a dynamic economic system for Mnemos. If encountered in the wild, Jim may be lured with the smell of fresh coffee and lulled into non aggression by questions about the world and systems in Mnemos.

Hello, fellow LARPers! I’m a lifelong geek who uses my powers of knowledge and organization (mostly) for the Forces of Good. When I’m not keeping my family on track and on time I’m wrangling all the bits that help make Mnemos run smoothly. Have a question about the site? Want to log your attendance and/or spends? Got a question about medieval British military history that’s been burning itself into your soul? Look no further than me!

I’ve been LARPing since 1994. I spent almost 25 years playing in One World By Night (a parlor-style LARP set in the World of Darkness universe), and almost 20 years acting in various administrative capacities - including as a Storyteller and Council Member in two separate local chronicles, a regional Genre Subcoordinator for four separate genres, and as a global Genre Coordinator for three years. I love to volunteer for tough gigs, and I’ve spent a lot of time helping cut through logistical Gordian Knots in OWBN as well as assisting in the planning for a ton of events over the years.

I’m also a gigantic fan of medieval Celtic literature, medieval history, Scandinavian history, and damn near every mythology ever (with special love for Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Celtic, and Norse). Basically I’ve been addicted to stories since I was wee and that hasn’t changed a bit over time.

The only thing I love more than a smoothly-sailing LARP ship is one that players truly enjoy to attend. It’s my honor and joy to help make Mnemos LARP a great experience for its players!

Hey everybody! I’ve been playing and running in LARPs for over 20 years. The majority of which being Parlor style larps, which are focused entirely on stories, I’m happy to bring my game experience to share with this game! I served as Head Coordinator of One World by Night (OWbN) for two years, and before that, did 11 years as either an Administrative coordinator or Genre Coordinator. I have coordinated and run storytelling events for over 1000 people at once (which, while mind-blowingly fun, was exhausting, but went great!) I have 12 years experience as a Storyteller, and have been responsible not only for networked games, but private Live Action Chronicles (Changeling the Dreaming, Vampire the Masquerade) as well! I’ve been playing contact LARPs for about eight and a half years now, and have served as Safety regulation, coordinators, field judges, and build crews.

I’m also a crafter myself of LARP props and weapons, a full time father, husband, and friend. I’m excited to be a part of Mnemos and I look forward to spending more time getting to know you all, what kind of stories you’re interested in, and giving you the best quality experience we can! I like to believe I’m very easy to work with, a good listener.

I can’t tell you how very excited I am at the prospect of stories we will create together. This is such an exciting prospect, and I can’t wait to explore it with you all! Our team is committed to making sure you have great stories to tell your friends, and that you have a good time! If you have questions, I’m always going to be available to talk with you and make sure you are satisfied with your experience.
